CIEL Textile was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in Mauritius. It has six subsidiaries. With 19 production units in Mauritius, Madagascar, India, and Bangladesh, CIEL Textile is a comprehensive facility encompassing weaving/knitting, dyeing and finishing, and garment manufacturing, delivering over 31 million garments annually. Partnering with brands such as Levi's, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, and Muji, CIEL Textile consistently strives to go beyond manufacturing and seeks to improve efficiency and quality in fabric inspection and packaging. In 2016, CIEL began collaborating with SUNTECH. The investment in eight pieces of equipment, including fabric inspection machines and automatic packaging machines, has boosted efficiency and reduced labor costs.
CIEL Textile boasts a complete vertical supply chain, encompassing spinning, weaving/knitting, dyeing and finishing, and garment production. However, with rising wages for local workers in Mauritius, production costs are significantly higher than in other countries. Furthermore, inefficient production has reduced the company's international competitiveness in garment manufacturing. Furthermore, rising factory operating costs, such as utilities, have further squeezed profit margins, necessitating an urgent need for automation to optimize production.
Faced with growing order volumes and the stringent delivery efficiency and quality requirements of international brands, CIEL Textile requires efficient and reliable equipment to support its production upgrades. They aim to improve the accuracy of fabric quality control and reduce errors associated with manual inspection. They also seek a more efficient alternative to traditional manual packaging to improve efficiency, reduce labor costs, and ensure consistent and professional packaging, thus meeting the supply chain standards of global high-end brands.
After multiple discussions and in-depth discussions at exhibitions, CIEL Textile expressed high confidence in SUNTECH's automation solutions. SUNTECH not only boasts extensive experience in textile machinery R&D and manufacturing but also offers customized designs tailored to clients' diverse process requirements, ensuring solutions are perfectly aligned with their production needs. More importantly, SUNTECH's equipment has been proven by numerous renowned textile companies worldwide, earning a wide reputation for reliability and after-sales support. Ultimately, CIEL Textile chose SUNTECH as a long-term strategic partner on its path to automation upgrades.
