Founded in Indonesia in 1979, KAHATEX boasts three production parks covering over 1.55 million square meters and employing over 55,000 people, making it a leading vertically integrated textile company in Southeast Asia. It has grown into one of the largest comprehensive textile groups in Southeast Asia, with operations in over 80 countries worldwide. Its products encompass polyester fibers, yarns, woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, denim, apparel, and socks. Focusing on fashion apparel fabrics, each factory employs a vertically integrated approach and is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery. It has established long-term partnerships with international brands such as Adidas, H&M, C&A, MUJI, and GU. In 2019, the company partnered with SUNTECH, purchasing electric warp beam trolleys and A-type tractors, effectively improving production efficiency. As a large textile group, KAHATEX.
With capacity expansion and increased order volatility, KAHATEX's production workshops faced significant pressure in material handling. The existing hydraulic handling equipment revealed several problems under high-intensity production: complex operation procedures, high dependence on personnel experience and physical strength, and certain operational risks; aging equipment led to increased failure rates, rising maintenance costs, and downtime, further impacting the stability of the weaving cycle. To improve production continuity, reduce manual labor burden, and keep pace with the company's intelligent transformation, KAHATEX's need to upgrade its handling system became increasingly urgent.
KAHATEX required an electric warp beam transport system capable of supporting high-frequency, heavy-duty operations. It needed easy and intuitive operation to reduce manual labor; stable performance and strong load capacity to maintain smooth operation over extended periods; a responsive and accurate electrical control system to ensure standardized workshop operations; simple maintenance and high reliability to reduce downtime risks; and seamless integration into existing production lines to improve handling efficiency and overall operational safety. These core requirements pointed to a more advanced and intelligent solution to help modernize its production processes.
After evaluating several solution providers, KAHATEX ultimately decided to partner with SUNTECH. This was due to SUNTECH's years of experience in warp beam handling equipment, its high level of technological maturity, and its long-term proven track record in numerous large textile factories worldwide. Our electric warp beam transport vehicles utilize a high-efficiency drive system, maintaining reliable performance under heavy loads and continuous operation. Furthermore, SUNTECH has a stable service network in Indonesia and the surrounding region, providing rapid technical support and maintenance response. Through multiple rounds of communication and detailed technical verification, KAHATEX developed full trust in SUNTECH's equipment capabilities, delivery capacity, and professionalism, believing this would be a crucial step in its automation upgrade.
