KIPAS is a leading company in Turkey's textile industry, possessing a complete textile supply chain. From spinning, weaving, and dyeing to fabric production and garment manufacturing, it can handle everything independently, making it a typical vertically integrated manufacturer. KIPAS mainly produces various cotton, blended, denim, and woven fabrics, maintaining high product quality standards and serving as a long-term, stable supplier to well-known European and global apparel brands. In 2018, KIPAS began collaborating with SUNTECH, purchasing electric warp beam handling trolleys and repurchasing the electric tractors in 2025. This effectively improved warp beam handling efficiency, allowing KIPAS to save labor costs and optimize its production processes.
As a highly integrated textile conglomerate in Turkey, KIPAS boasts a massive production capacity in yarn, woven fabrics, and denim. However, with increasing demands from European orders regarding delivery time, compliance, and sustainability, coupled with rising labor costs and a shrinking workforce in Turkey, KIPAS has encountered bottlenecks in its internal material handling operations. Early-used traditional transport equipment was bulky, lacked mobility, and was difficult to schedule in a compact production layout; it also presented problems such as labor-intensive operation, inconsistent efficiency, and safety hazards. Furthermore, insufficient power and range anxiety affected production rhythms in high-frequency transport conditions, particularly on ramps and over long distances.
KIPAS sought to introduce an electric material handling system that combined high load capacity with flexible scheduling, adaptable to complex workshop aisles and multi-area flow scenarios, while maintaining stable output under high-frequency continuous operation. They paid particular attention to the equipment's traction performance, range, safety design, and long-term reliability. Simultaneously, the equipment had to be easy to operate, reducing reliance on skilled workers to alleviate labor cost pressures, and seamlessly integrate with existing production processes without disrupting the current production rhythm.
After comparing multiple suppliers and solutions, KIPAS ultimately chose to partner with SUNTECH. This decision was based not only on the comprehensive advantages of the equipment in terms of load capacity, compact structure, and cost-effectiveness, but also on our long-term project experience in the textile material handling field. The equipment purchased in 2018 has been operating stably ever since, its performance verifying its durability and reliability, and enhancing customer trust in the brand. In 2025, a further upgrade will be implemented, introducing electric traction equipment. Through continuous technical communication and face-to-face exchanges at exhibitions, KIPAS recognized the stable performance and efficient service response of SUNTECH products, considering them crucial for maintaining competitiveness and advancing automation upgrades during industry adjustments.
