Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, Global SAE-A Group is a leading company in South Korea's textile and apparel trade, with 40 garment factories in 10 countries worldwide. It holds a key position in the local textile and apparel supply chain in South Korea. It collaborates with numerous world-renowned brands, including Vans, which achieved 70% localized production in South Korea, and maintains long-term partnerships with GAP, NIKE, and UNIQLO. In 2024, the company met and began collaborating with SUNTECH, investing in four pieces of equipment, including a fabric inspection machine and a fabric relaxing machine, to effectively optimize production processes, improve production speed and quality, and reduce labor costs.
SAE-A boasts an extensive global production network. However, with rising labor costs and international customers demanding higher quality and delivery, its South American factories face multiple challenges. Manual fabric inspection is inefficient and prone to errors, leading to minor flaws in knitted fabrics being missed, impacting the quality of the finished garments. Furthermore, tension in knitted fabrics cannot be fully released during the fabric relaxing process, which can lead to dimensional discrepancies in subsequent pattern making, resulting in fabric waste and rework. Overall production efficiency urgently needs to be improved.
To address these issues, SAE-A urgently needed to introduce intelligent, automated equipment. First, a fabric inspection system would achieve high-precision and efficient inspection, ensuring fabric quality and stable delivery. Second, a high-performance fabric relaxing machine would significantly improve efficiency while relieving tension in knitted fabrics, ensuring dimensional consistency across garment patterns. This would replace manual labor, improve production efficiency, optimize production processes, reduce labor intensity, and ensure smooth workshop operations.
During the equipment upgrade evaluation process, SAE-A ultimately chose Suntech. Suntech's extensive textile automation experience and global service network enabled them to provide customized solutions tailored to the specific characteristics of SAE-A's knitted fabrics. Furthermore, Suntech's equipment complies with European CE standards, meeting the compliance requirements of its international brand customers. More importantly, Suntech's professional after-sales service team provides integrated support, including installation, commissioning, and training, helping SAE-A quickly complete equipment deployment and maximize its investment returns.
