Founded in 1980, VINATEX has grown into Vietnam's largest textile and garment conglomerate, with over 150 member companies and subsidiaries. Its operations span the entire value chain, from fiber, yarn, and fabric production to garment manufacturing, trade, and retail. It has the capacity to produce hundreds of millions of meters of fabric and tens of millions of garments annually. Its products are exported to over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Since 2016, VINATEX has partnered with SUNTECH and has secured numerous sales contracts for 17 pieces of equipment, including fabric inspection machines, automatic fabric roll packing machines, and electric warp beam trolleys.
VINATEX faces challenges across multiple production processes. With Vietnam's labor costs rising annually, manual production methods are inefficient and driving up costs. Manual fabric inspection is inefficient and subject to significant errors, which can easily lead to missed or misidentified fabric defects, impacting the quality and delivery of finished garments. International brand customers demand higher production quality and supply stability, while traditional packaging methods are inefficient and prone to damage, impacting customer experience. Manual handling of fabric rolls and warp beams is time-consuming and labor-intensive, impacting overall production efficiency and posing safety risks.
To address these current challenges, VINATEX aims to implement automated fabric inspection equipment to achieve high-precision and efficient fabric testing, reducing manual intervention and improving pass rates. This will also improve fabric packaging efficiency, reduce labor costs, ensure standardized packaging, and ensure safe transportation. Furthermore, this will optimize material transportation within the workshop, reduce worker workload, and improve logistics efficiency.
Through their discussions with Suntech, VINATEX gained a deep understanding of Suntech's strengths and services, as well as its extensive industry experience in textile equipment automation. Suntech was able to provide customized automation solutions tailored to the specific needs of VINATEX's various factories. Suntech's professional after-sales service team provided support with equipment installation, commissioning, and training, ensuring rapid production deployment. While meeting high quality standards, the equipment was reasonably priced, fitting within VINATEX's budget and investment plan.
