In April 2026, a team from TWITCHELL TECHNICAL (USA) was invited to visit SUNTECH for a tour and exchange session. During this meeting, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions focusing on practical challenges currently facing fabric inspection processes, as well as future directions for automation upgrades.
During the discussions, TWITCHELL TECHNICAL noted that as production demands continue to evolve, certain issues within their existing workflows have gradually come to light. Due to a limited supply of skilled fabric inspectors, manual inspection remains heavily reliant on individual experience, and the training cycle for new personnel is notably lengthy. Furthermore, the various stages of production are relatively fragmented; the intermediate transfer and waiting times for materials consume a significant amount of time, thereby impacting the overall production pace and collaborative efficiency.
In light of these circumstances, the client expressed a desire to optimize their current production methods through a more systematic automation strategy—rather than merely enhancing a single, isolated process. With this objective in mind, both parties focused their exchange on the practical application of AI-powered fabric inspection equipment in real-world production environments, as well as how to integrate automation hardware to create a more logical and streamlined workflow within the workshop.
During the facility tour, TWITCHELL TECHNICAL demonstrated keen interest in SUNTECH’s approach to automation. Drawing upon the specific conditions of their own factory, they engaged in detailed discussions regarding equipment customization, process alignment, and future expansion strategies. The client expressed the view that automation serves not only to alleviate pressures related to staffing and efficiency but also plays a crucial role in fostering a more stable and orderly overall production operation.
This exchange further deepened the consensus between both parties regarding the strategic direction of intelligent manufacturing. Moving forward, SUNTECH will continue to tailor its automation solutions to meet the client's specific production requirements, thereby assisting them in the gradual construction of a more efficient and highly coordinated production ecosystem.
