In August of this year, KUCUKCALIK, a textile company from Turkey, was invited to visit Suntech. As they were preparing to build a new factory, they hoped to leverage advanced equipment to create an automated, efficient production system. During their conversation, KUCUKCALIK mentioned two key pain points: low fabric inspection and packaging efficiency, which relied heavily on manual labor, leading to missed defects and slowing production, impacting the quality of finished garments; and material handling risks, which were labor-intensive, inefficient, and associated with safety risks.
To address these issues, Suntech developed a tailored AI fabric inspection and packaging line combined with textile AGV handling solutions. The AI fabric inspection and packaging line automatically captures and marks defects, generating defect maps and inspection reports with an accuracy of ≥85%, improving overall efficiency by over 50%. Seamlessly integrated with fully automated packaging, it can package seven rolls of fabric in as little as one minute.
